TEC IE3 three-phase induction motors are available in aluminium and cast iron frames, with the frame material selected to match the power output. Motors up to 7.5 kW are supplied in a die-cast aluminium housing — lightweight, thermally efficient, and naturally corrosion-resistant, making them well suited to light and medium-duty industrial applications. From 11 kW upward, a solid cast iron frame is used, providing the robustness and rigidity needed for high-power, high-vibration environments such as pumping, compression and heavy conveyor duty.
All variants meet IE3 Premium Efficiency — the mandatory standard under UK and EU energy legislation — helping to reduce running costs at every power rating. Class F insulation with a Class B temperature rise gives a generous thermal safety margin, and full inverter compatibility makes these motors a direct fit for variable-speed drives and soft starters.
